Oskanian: Principles Discussed May Promote Karabakh Settlement

PanARMENIAN.Net - The disclosure of the contents of negotiations on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement by the U.S. Co-chair Matthew Bryza was not full, since 2 fundamental principles remained secret, Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian stated in Tbilisi. First, he said, securing of the corridor between Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh should become one of the basic items of the talks. Second, before the referendum on the final status Nagorno Karabakh should be granted an intermediate status. The RA FM underscored that the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs confirmed that the status of Nagorno Karabakh will be determined by the people of Karabakh via a referendum. "Third, I would like to remark that Armenia rates the principles being discussed as balanced and is ready to continue talks with Azerbaijan on the basis of these principles," Vartan Oskanian said, reported Yerkir Media TV Company.
