Foo Fighters' “Sonic Highways” doc features “Watered It Down” solo (video) December 10, 2014 - 11:17 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Foo Fighters' “Sonic Highways” doc features 'Watered It Down' - a solo demo recorded by Dave Grohl in 1992. Along with other unearthed demo 'Hooker On The Street', the track was played during the Seattle episode of new Foo Fighters' Sonic Highways, Gigwise said. The episode details Grohl's transition between Nirvana and Foo Fighters, in which Barrett Jones discusses early recording sessions with him in 1992. Old school Foos fans will know that Grohl once recorded sessions under the name Allister Lobb - a project with him and sister Lisa, and Mike 'Mikey Dees' Nelson. Fans may be aware with a track called 'unknown #2' from the five track instrumental demo they recorded in 1992. Now, as sharp-eared fans of Reddit have noticed, a version of the track with Grohl screaming "You watered it down, down/ you watered it down/ water water water water water water water" is played in the episode, much to Grohl's embarassment. The track is believed to be the origins of their Wasting Light staple, 'Arlandria'.
