New leak reveals Cortana, Xbox app for Windows 10December 15, 2014 - 13:58 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - New details about some consumer features on Windows 10 have been leaked, Digital Spy reveals. Images showing updates to the preview of Microsoft's next operating system show how Cortana will be integrated and an Xbox app. The company's digital assistant was previously shown in action earlier this month, but in build 9901 it sits above the search bar which is integrated into the taskbar by default. As WinBeta's video shows, Cortana for desktop works much like its smartphone counterpart, providing reminders and taking notes but this early take on the feature still isn't fully functional. Elsewhere, new beta apps have been added, including a camera app and new contact support. An updated Xbox app is shown too, providing access to achievements, friends and settings, as well as the store. Microsoft is expected to officially unveil these features and more in an event scheduled for January 21.
