White Stripes to release

PanARMENIAN.Net - To mark ten years since The White Stripes toured Get Behind Me Satan, Third Man Records have announced a lavish live album, Gigwise reports.

Vault Package #23 from the label centres around a double blood red vinyl LP Under Amazonian Lights recorded live at the grand Teatro Amazonas Opera House in Manaus, Brazil on 1st June 2005. A DVD of live footage from the gig is also included.

The performance itself was described by the local press at the time as 'delicious irresponsible' and was the first rock concert held at the venue. It concluded with a raucous unplugged performance of 'We Are Going To Be Friends' outside the gig which incited a near riot.

The tracklisting for the live album is:

Blue Orchid Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground Black Math Love Sick (Bob Dylan) My Doorbell Passive Manipulation Hotel Yorba The Same Boy You’ve Always Known (electric) The Same Boy You’ve Always Known (acoustic) Little Ghost When I Hear My Name I Asked For Water (Howlin Wolf) Fell in Love With a Girl The Nurse Little Bird Death Letter (Son House) St. James Infirmary (traditional) Screwdriver Passive Manipulation (reprise) I Just Don’t Know What to Do With Myself (I’ll Be With You) In Apple Blossom Time (Albert Von Tilzer/Neville Fleeson) I Just Don’t Know What to Do With Myself (continued) Seven Nation Army

Also contained in the package is a white vinyl seven inch single featuring rarity 'Let You Down' and an instrumental outtake 'Ain't No Sweeter Than Rita Blues'. The boxset also contains postcards, pins and a poster. The package is available exclusively through Third Man Records and you will need to register here by 31 January to be eligible to purchase.

Last night it was announced that Jack White will headline Coachella alongside AC/DC and Drake. White will play the festival on 11 April and 18 April at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

Jack White's Lazaretto was recently declared the best selling vinyl album of 2014 with over 75,000 copies sold. White also recently completed a massive UK tour.
