Samsung “readying Galaxy J1 budget smartphone to take on Moto G”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Samsung is about to announce a budget smartphone to take on the likes of the Moto G and the Sony Xperia M2, a report suggests.

Reliable rumours website SamMobile has published leaked photographs and specs details for the so-called Galaxy J1, according to Digital Spy.

The device is said to feature a 4.3-inch 800x480-resolution screen with 217ppi, a 1.2GHz 64-bit quad-core Marvell PXA1908 processor and 1GB of RAM.

It also includes 4GB of internal storage with microSD expansion, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front camera, and a 1850mAh battery.

Android 4.4.4 KitKat is listed as its operating system at launch, but this is likely to be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop shortly after release.

The leaked images are dated January 14, which likely indicates that Samsung is planning to unveil the handset tomorrow.
