EEU plans termination of roaming services within 5 years

PanARMENIAN.Net - Complete termination of roaming services in the European Economic Union (EEU) will be implemented within 4-5 years, the Minister of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Nurlan Aldabergenov said.

According to the EEC official, by the late 2015, new decreased prices for roaming services will be worked out with the EEU mobile operators. Also, a plan of actions for adoption of principles of fair roaming will be introduced, Belta reports.

According to Aldabergenov, both consumers and mobile operators will be benefitting from the move, with termination of services resulting in increased income for local operators.

As was earlier reported, the international roaming agreement in the Eurasian Economic Union will be signed in the spring of 2015.
