Stephen King's short story “One For The Road” to get film treatmentFebruary 4, 2015 - 18:16 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - “One For The Road,” a short story from the Stephen King collection Night Shift, will be adapted into a short film, A.V. Club reports citing Dread Central. "This puts to rest the fear that perhaps the only King work that would be in development right now would be Mr. Mercedes. And The Things They Left Behind. And Bad Little Kid. And Gerald’s Game. And, most likely, the Home Depot shopping list that King left unattended on his car dashboard last week," A.V. Club said. “One For The Road” involves two aging Mainers who try to rescue a family whose car gets stranded in a blizzard. The adaptation will be helmed by writer-director Corey Norman (The Hanover House), and is set to film this year.
