YouTube testing multiple-angle videos

YouTube has started trialling a new experiment that allows users to choose the angle of videos, Digital Spy reports.

The Google-owned platform has begun the test with a performance by Madilyn Bailey, which allows viewers to choose from four different viewing points.

A selection of alternative angles are displayed to the right of the video and change instantly when one is selected. It's also possible to change camera by using the keyboard and selecting the camera number you want.

At present it is only Bailey's video that uses the technique, but YouTube is accepting requests from others who want to test the feature out.

YouTube has been testing support for up to six cameras for some time, but only for live events.

Last month, the video sharing website said it is looking into support for 360-degree videos too.
