Galaxy S6 teaser suggests battery boost

Samsung has released a pair of teaser photographs for the Galaxy S6, hinting at extended battery life and faster charging time for the new handset, Digital Spy reports.

The cryptic images bear the slogans "Stop less. Discover more" and "Get more done. Get more time" along with the Twitter hashtag #TheNextGalaxy.

Samsung has already disclosed that wireless charging is one of its areas of focus, so the Galaxy S6 could reap the benefits of recent advancements in this field.

The South Korean firm will announce the Galaxy S6 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona early next month.

The handset is expected to come in two variants, a standard edition and a model with a wraparound screen that curves along both edges.

Previous reports have have tipped the Galaxy S6 to feature a 5.5in QHD display, a 64-bit octa-core Exynos chip, 3GB of RAM and a 20-megapixel camera.

In a recent Digital Spy poll, the Galaxy S6 was named as the most anticipated next-generation smartphone for 2015.
