Smart Rope counts your jumps and sends stats to your smartphoneMarch 7, 2015 - 10:45 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Smart tech gadgets have gone one step further with the arrival of Smart Rope, Digital Spy reports. The device acts like any other sports rope, except this one counts your jumps and sends the stats to your smartphone. Data is sent via a Bluetooth transmitter found in the Smart Rope's handle, which not only counts jumps but also tracks the number of calories burnt. 23 LEDs are also fitted into the rope, which will beam the jump count in the air. Smart Rope is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter and has attracted almost 700 backers. Its developers have already achieved more than the $60,000 of funding it was seeking. "We've created a true active fitness wearable that brings the best in new tech to a tried-and-true workout, consistently recommended by the health and wellness community," Smart Rope's page states. The rope is available in three sizes - small, medium and large - and will cost $70 when it hits shelves in September.
