The duo have worked together in the apocalyptical comedy This Is the End and the upcoming animated comedy Sausage Party. True Story is a thriller based on real events in the life of suspected killer Christian Longo (Franco), who tried to hide from his crimes by posing as the journalist Michael Finkel (Hill). As Finkel tries to come to grips with why his name was chosen by Longo, he finds himself drawn into a world of deception and danger. Oscar nominee Felicity Jones also appears in acclaimed theatre director Rupert Goold's new movie. True Story opens on April 17 on limited release in the US and on July 24 in the UK.
