The Armenian military budget will increase with the growth of the Gross Domestic Product, Armenian Defense Minister Serge Sargsyan told journalists September 1 in the military high school after Monte Melkonyan. "I cannot foretell the result by the end of the year but the Armenian military budget will make 3.5% of the GDP. Everyone should understand that the stronger is the economy of the state the bigger is the military budget. We have no desire to increase the budget at the expense of science, education, health, culture and other sectors," Serge Sargsyan said, reported IA Regnum.
