Google Now draws info from over 70 new apps

Siri and Cortana need to watch their backs because their arch-rival Google Now just became a lot more useful, Digital Spy reveals.

The virtual assistant now draws information from more than 70 new apps, presenting it to users via its card-based notification system.

The newly-integrated services are some of the biggest names in the business, including Spotify, Runkeeper and OpenTable.

Google Now will provide users with music recommendations, monitor their fitness goals, serve them with suggested recipes, and more.

The portfolio of supported apps is now vast, but many of the services are limited to the US at present.

Users can take advantage of the new features by updating to the latest version of Google Now.
