Adidas, Spotify team up for app to match music with running paceApril 30, 2015 - 17:40 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Adidas and Spotify have teamed up for a new music app that sticks with your pace, Digital Spy reports. Adidas Go uses the iPhone's accelerometer to match music in Spotify to a runner's workout routine. It will calculate your pace to automatically select songs with a matching beats per minute ratio. The app may also provide you with brand new music, as it will stream Spotify songs that match your tastes based on playlists. In case you're worried about streaming costs, the app can also be used with locally-stored tracks to match your pace. When a run is complete, you can then save results including distance, time and pace, while you can also share it on social networks. Adidas Go is available on iOS as a free download from the Apple Store. It has yet to be confirmed if it will be made available for Android. The two companies previously worked together for offline playback on the Adidas SmartRun watch and soundtracking a jog with RunKeeper.
