PanARMENIAN.Net - Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon's limited series "Big Little Lies" has found a home at HBO. The premium cable network gives a straight-to-series commitment to the project which is adapted from Liane Moriarty's 2014 book of the same title, AceShowbiz reports.

A dark comedy, the show will revolve around three mothers to kindergartners whose seemingly perfect lives unravel to a murder-mystery that takes place during a disastrous parents' night at an elementary school fundraiser. David E. Kelley will write the script.

Kidman and Witherspoon will star and produce the series along with Kelley. HBO previously worked with Kidman on "Hemingway & Gellhorn", which earned her an Emmy nomination.

The network now becomes a home to critically-acclaimed limited series "True Detective" which will return for second season following a great success with season 1. Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson starred in the first one while Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn will lead the sophomore season.
