Google Fit latest update allows to thoroughly monitor workoutsMay 14, 2015 - 13:33 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Google Fit is now more useful to exercise enthusiasts as its latest update allows it to monitor the amount of calories they've burned and the distance they've travelled, Digital Spy reports. A new widget displays this information on mobile devices and the update is also coming to Android Wear devices to bring the data to wrists. Distance and calorie tracking aren't the only new features included in the latest Google Fit update, with a refreshed user interface making the app easier on the eye. Your fitness history is now easier to scroll and activity is grouped by days, weeks or months on smartphone and tablet. "Whether you want to run a half-marathon, work off that cupcake or simply move a bit more each week, these new additions to Google Fit will help you stay on track to reach your fitness goals," said Google Fit product manager Allyson Gale. The Google Fit app is now being updated on Google Play and the Android Wear edition is expected to follow.
