"Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" unveils 1st trailer (video)

PanARMENIAN.Net - The first official trailer of "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials", the second film in the series based on James Dashner's "The Maze Runner" novel trilogy, has arrived. It gives glimpses of the new location where the teen heroes aka the Gliders are trapped. AceShowbiz reports.

After escaping from the giant wall maze in the first film, the Gliders find themselves trapped in a new maze called the Scorch. "Starts now to begin phase two," someone says in voiceover. Led by Thomas (Dylan O'Brien), the Gliders have to cooperate in order to escape the area of a post-apocalyptic, desolate landscape. Besides, they are trying to unveil WCKD, the powerful organization responsible for keeping them in the maze.

The Gliders team up with resistance fighter against WCKD. They later uncover that they might never escape the maze. "They're hiding something. They lied to us. We never escaped," Thomas says. "It's all just been part of their plan."
