FBI investigating Uber after alleged hacksMay 25, 2015 - 15:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The FBI has launched an investigation after 'phantom' cab rides appeared on hacked British Uber accounts. Although the service has found no evidence of security issues, a number of UK users have claimed money was illegally taken from their Uber accounts, Digital Spy reports citing The Guardian. Anthea Turner was amongst the Uber users to voice their concern. The television presenter wrote on Twitter: "[Uber] account has been hacked nothing to HELP me on website this is ridiculous." The news follows speculation that Uber account details were made available to purchase on the 'dark net', allegedly allowing buyers to order fares using other people's accounts. In other news, Uber's plans to expand its operations in London were recently dealt a blow following reports that mayor Boris Johnson has backed proposals to limit the number of minicabs in the UK capital.
