Asus rolls out ZenFone for selfie fans

ASUS is aiming to exploit the selfie craze with its latest smartphone, the appropriately-named ASUS ZenFone Selfie, Digital Spy reports.

Taking a page out of the HTC Desire Eye's book, the handset has powerful 13-megapixel cameras on the front and rear, both with autofocus and dual-tone flash.

The front snapper features a wide 88-degree angle, beautification features, and a panoramic selfie mode so users can shoot gargantuan portrait shots.

Like the main camera on the LG G4, the ZenFone Selfie's rear sensor is backed up by laser autofocusing for pinpoint accuracy.

Impressive camera credentials aside, the handset features a 5.5-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, and runs off a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset and either 2GB or 3GB of RAM.

Users will also have the option of either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, with the higher-capacity premium model also coming with the extra RAM.

The ASUS ZenFone Selfie is coated in plastic and comes in a range of bright colour options. Pricing and a release date is yet to be announced.
