Blocks Wearables' modular smartwatch taking shapeJune 2, 2015 - 20:03 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Blocks Wearables' modular smartwatch appears to be coming along nicely, and the company has now gone into detail about the kind of specs it will be packing, Digital Spy reports. Announced last year, the device will include smart straps with swappable links that allow users to cherrypick additional features, such as NFC or extra battery life. Blocks has confirmed that the wearable will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, putting it on par with the LG G Watch Urbane in terms of raw power, reports Android Community. Interestingly, the device will run a version of Android Lollipop, rather than Android Wear, but will be compatible with iOS devices as well as Android smartphones. The Block smartwatch will feature a colour display, which acts as the main module, housing essential functions such as WiFi, its main battery, the processor, and Bluetooth connectivity. The ambitious wearable appears to be taking shape, but whether the project bears fruit depends on the success of its forthcoming crowdfunding campaign.
