Microsoft to launch new int’l WiFi serviceJune 5, 2015 - 18:13 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Microsoft has revealed ambitions to become a global provider of public internet with the launch of a service called Microsoft WiFi, Digital Spy reports. Details of the project came to light when a company spokesperson spilled the beans to VentureBeat after the publication stumbled upon the official website for the service. "We can confirm that we are working on a new service, called Microsoft WiFi, that will bring hassle-free Wi-Fi to millions," said a Microsoft spokesperson. "We look forward to sharing additional detail when available." Microsoft WiFi is expected to be a multi-platform offering, supporting iOS, Android, Mac and Windows devices. Reports suggest that the service could be a revamped and rebranded version of Skype WiFi, expanded to 10 million hotspots in 130 countries. The service is rumoured to be exclusive to customers who subscribe to a Microsoft service, such as Office 365 or Skype WiFi.
