Collider shares a snap of the promotional art captured from the halls of the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas. The promotional art shows an almost improbably huge alien craft shooting a giant beam of unpleasantness at Earth, AceShowbiz reports. The site also shares the official synopsis for the sequel of 1996's "Independence Day" which gives a hint at what's going on in the promotional art. The synopsis reads, "After Independence Day redefined the event movie genre, the next epic chapter delivers global catastrophe on an unimaginable scale." "Using recovered alien technology, the nations of Earth have collaborated on an immense defense program to protect the planet.
