«I would not like to estimate or comment on actions of the Georgian Government, it will solve the situation itself,» Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, colonel general Mikayel Harutyunyan at a news conference stated in Yerevan. In his words, under the conditions of absence of forcible arguments and facts it is impossible to understand what happened really. «We have information that special services in Georgia detained four Russian military and 11 Georgian citizens, five of which are Armenians. We can comment only if we have facts,» he underscored.

In his turn, Advisor-Envoy of the Russian Embassy in Armenia Igor Gromyko underscored that actions and statements of Georgian authorities cannot be taken seriously. «It is hard to imagine the degree of fantasy of Georgian politicians. They speak many things, while it is not serious to comment on everything said by them. I believe there are forces, which want to embroil Russia with Armenia. I am sure everyone will agree with me that they will fail,» Gromyko underscored.
