Gaming leader Razer “buys Android microconsole maker Ouya”June 17, 2015 - 11:14 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - It seems recent rumours of Ouya seeking a buyer are true - although the news was revealed somewhat prematurely, Digital Spy reports. Investment bank Mesa Global added Ouya to its acquisitions page, stating that it was "exclusive financial advisor to Ouya, Inc in its sale to Razer". However, nothing has come from Ouya or Razer yet, and Mesa has wiped the news from its site, signalling that the firm released the news a little early. Ouya's Android gaming system plugs into a user's television, and plays games, apps and other new titles designed specifically for the device. The console was funded by Kickstarter back in 2012, after receiving $8.5 million in pledges. The console would later introduce a subscription model, Unreal Engine 4 support and a new scheme to bring its software to third-party devices. It received a $10 million cash injection from Alibaba earlier this year, but that doesn't appear to have solved its debt problem.
