The visit of French President Jacques Chirac to Armenia is a historical event. According to RA Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian, the visit is of a great political importance. "It's an honor for us to host the President of a country like France. A wide scope of issues including relations with the EU, OSCE MG activities and economy will be discussed. Presently France is one of the most active investors in the Armenian economy and we hope that the economic cooperation will be dynamically developing in future," the RA FM said. Vartan Oskanian also briefed on the rich cultural program within the framework of the Year of Armenia in France, which will give the French people the possibility to learn more about the Armenian history and culture.
