Twitter trialing Product and Place pagesJune 22, 2015 - 11:20 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - HBO's Game of Thrones and musician Demi Lovato are among the launch partners as Twitter trials new Product and Places hubs, Digital Spy reports. Product and Places collections are hand-curated by brands and tastemakers, as the social networking service experiments with new ways of linking users with information about products and places of interest. HBO has produced a feed of fan favourite Game of Thrones merchandise, while former X Factor USA judge Lovato has curated Demi's Picks. Collections can be found by visiting a curator's profile and clicking on the 'Browse collection' button. Other brands and celebrities supporting Product and Places collections include Ariana Grande, Reese Witherspoon, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Beats by Dre and Elle magazine. Twitter is also trialling Product and Place pages, which the firm says will present "relevant Tweets about products and places on dedicated pages". "These pages will feature images and video about the product alongside information such as a description, price, and an option to buy, book, or visit the website for more information," said product manager Amaryllis Fox in a blog post. "We'll show you images and a description right above the Tweets that are most timely and relevant to you. These may be Tweets from accounts you follow, relevant news updates, or popular content." Twitter has also promised to trial "more new experiences" in coming months, with the aim of giving users easy access to "the most personalised and relevant information about the places and things you want to explore".
