Google Docs gets whole new set of tools, voice typing

Google introduced a feature that will make typing the easiest: the company added what it calls "voice typing" to Google Docs.

When users open up a new document, they need to click on the Tools menu, and select "Voice typing..." And, after just clicking on the microphone icon, it is ready to type.

Google’s voice typing feature supports more than 40 different languages, the company said in its blog post.

The company made a few other improvements to its platform, as well. Google Docs's Android app has a new research feature so users can pull in facts, images, quotes and more from Google search. Google Sheets features new visualization tools for all the users' data; and the company has added pre-designed templates for Docs, Sheets and Slides.

Whether it is the data from the users' newly created Forms (more on that later) or one of their existing documents, the new Explore feature in Google Sheets will help them make sense of it all. It is a tool designed to help you visualize, summarize and interpret your data – no more stressing or wasting countless hours stewing over endless rows of data.
