It gives a longer look at Idris Elba as an African warlord who takes young boys under his wing and trains them to be his mercenary fighters, AceShowbiz reports. The movie revolves around Agu who, when civil war engulfs his West African country, is forced to join a unit of mercenary fighters. Not only must Agu face the death of his father and disappearance of his mother and sister, but must also join a life of violence and brutality. It is scheduled to debut at the Venice Film Festival and then screen at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. It will later begin streaming on October 16 and play in select Landmark theaters in the United States.
