1st trailer for Rolling Stones guitarist doc “Under the Influence” (video) September 10, 2015 - 15:34 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Netflix’s “Keith Richards: Under the Influence” takes the Rolling Stones guitarist back to his roots, as seen in the first trailer released for the documentary, TheWrap reports. The doc seeks to give fans unparalleled access to one of the world’s greatest rock stars, and the first trailer teases that Richards, who has inspired whole new generations of musicians, had some even bigger idols to look up to. “I grew up with American folk music,” he said. “Jazz, blues, Johnny Cash, Muddy Waters. Rock and roll’s got nothing on those guys.” The film visits key people and places that have inspired Richards and his music, including locales like: Chicago, where Richards first encountered Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf and Chess Records; Nashville, where Richards explores his long love of country music; and New York, where Richards recorded his latest solo album and collaborated with the likes of Steve Jordan and Waddy Wachtel. Produced by Academy Award- and Emmy-winning producers RadicalMedia and directed by Morgan Neville, the film explores Richards’ genesis as a songwriter, guitarist and performer as he creates his first solo album in 23 years. “Keith Richards: Under the Influence” will premiere on Netflix on Sept. 18.
