Samsung Galaxy S7 rumored for February releaseSeptember 14, 2015 - 16:20 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The iPhone 6S might have only just been unveiled, but it's already facing renewed competition, with Samsung Galaxy S7 rumours kicking up a gear, Digital Spy reports. The eagerly-awaited follow-on to the existing Samsung Galaxy S6, the Galaxy S7 has been the subject of tipsters' discussions, with the phone's release date and specs teased. According to GforGames, insider sources from Samsung's native Korea have tipped the device to drop in late February. With the 2016 Mobile World Congress gathering pencilled in for February 22-25, that would put the iPhone rival on course for a Barcelona-based unveiling. Further Samsung Galaxy S7 rumours point at a pair of handset options - iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus-style. Alongside a 5.1-inch base S7, an oversized 5.7-inch model has been tipped to make an appearance from day one. This would likely act as a replacement to the recently released Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ (just hopefully with a less wordy name). Elsewhere, Samsung will reportedly split the phone's processing power across two CPU options, Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 820 chip and an own-brand Exynos M1 offering. It is currently unclear if the phone will retain the S6's metal-edged, glass-backed design or move to an all-new look and feel. Samsung has yet to comment on the claims.
