Twitter trials new polling featureSeptember 26, 2015 - 11:19 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Twitter has launched the ability for some users to create polls during a new feature trial, Digital Spy reports. Certain verified accounts and Twitter staffers are among the first to receive and test out the feature, which allows users to offer their followers a two-option choice in an update. At the moment, it appears that after a poll is created users have 24 hours to respond while being shown the total number of voters, time left to vote and the current results percentage. Users with the feature will be able to create a poll by clicking on the pie chart icon in the new tweet window. The feature is currently only supported on native Twitter applications and not on any third party clients such as Tweetdeck or Hootsuite. While the new feature appears to have been well-received so far, it has come across some problems in that the full poll is not visible in embedded tweets or in timelines and appears as a text question instead. The new update comes after co-founder Jack Dorsey shared in July that the company needed to do more to expand its user base. Some other recent changes for the social networking site include the removal of the 140 character Direct Message limit as well as unveiling a new unified app for iPhone and iPad users.
