Daft Punk unveils trailer for career spanning documentary

PanARMENIAN.Net - In the wake of the world conquering Random Access Memories, the French dance duo are the subject of a new film that examines their legacy, Gigwise reports.

Daft Punk Unchained will be released in the UK courtesy of the BBC, and will feature a string of stars. Collaborators, Nile Rogers and Pharrell Williams will ponder the impact the enigmatic band have had on electronic music.

Both artists' appeared on the phenomenally successful Random Access Memories. 'Get Lucky', featuring Williams and Rogers, was one of the biggest hits of 2013, and reached the in 10 in 32 countries.

A host of other well known names, like Giorgio Moroder, Michael Gondry and Pete Tong, are also expected to to make an appearance in the film.

The trailer for the feature is unsurprisingly epic, and features Kanye West considering the bands status in the pop canon: “Who revolutionized dance music the most? I think you’d say, ‘Daft Punk’.”

The documentary was directed by Hervé Martin Delpierre, and we can hope for an insight into Daft Punk's world. The trailer teases with a scene in which one of the band appear to be removing their famous head wear.
