Producer Jon Landau teases fans with "Avatar" artworkSeptember 28, 2015 - 11:04 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - It was previously rumored that "Avatar" franchise could expand beyond the original four-part series. Instead of responding to the rumor, producer Jon Landau shared a sneak peak about the upcoming "Avatar 2". The producer took to Twitter to tease fans with an artwork for the movie, AceShowbiz reports. Landau uploaded a photo, on Monday, September 28, which features the face of a female Avatar character. "Avatar 2," he captioned the photo. Speaking to audiences at the Siggraph conference back in July, the producer hinted that the team behind the movie would pay a lot of attention to detail. Thus, the sequel's characters and storyline would be more complex compared to those from the first movie. "Avatar" has become the highest grossing movie of all time with $2.8 million, replacing "Titanic" which grossed $2.2 million at worldwide box office. "Avatar" featured a spectacular new world beyond imagination, where humans controlled half human/half alien Avatar hybrids to explore the fictional universe Pandora. The sequel, which was previously set for release in 2016, has been pushed back to 2017. The original actors, Zoe Saldana and Sigourney Weaver, are up to return.
