Tilda Swinton’s vacation gets disrupted in “A Bigger Splash” trailer

PanARMENIAN.Net - Tilda Swinton and Matthias Schoenaerts‘ vacation gets disrupted when a friend and his daughter show up unexpectedly, sparking a wave of jealousy and danger, TheWrap reports.

The first trailer for the film begins with rock legend Marianne Lane (Swinton) and her partner Paul (Schoenaerts) enjoying their holiday, basking in the hot sun of Pantelleria. However, when her old flame Harry (Ralph Fiennes) and his daughter Penelope (Dakota Johnson) show up, things quickly get out of hand, and the trailer ends decidedly darker than it started.

Directed by Luca Guadagnino, the film is set for a May 13 U.S. release. It will be released in Italy on Nov. 26, with Studiocanal releasing it in the U.K. on Feb. 12.

Fox Searchlight has opted not to mount an awards campaign this fall for the film, which premiered at the Venice International Film Festival on Sept. 6.
