CBS picks up Tina Fey's comedy about retired athlete

PanARMENIAN.Net - Tina Fey's new TV project gets picked up by CBS. As AceShowbiz reports citing Entertainment Weekly, the Eye has ordered a pilot for an untitled comedy series that the former "Saturday Night Live" member is producing along with Robert Carlock.

Fey and Carlock are the dynamic duo behind NBC's comedy "30 Rock". They are also the creators of Netflix's "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt". Jack Burditt, who wrote the two comedies, will pen the script for their latest project.

The new television production will revolve around an athlete who can't help but drive his friends and family up the wall when he unexpectedly decides to retire. No actors have been announced for the scripted project just yet.

Tina Fey will next be seen in "Sisters" along with Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph. She is also attached to star in "The Taliban Shuffle" alongside Margot Robbie and Martin Freeman.
