NAGORNO KARABAKH NOT TO BE RECOGNIZED PARTY OF NEGOTIATIONS UNLESS POLITICAL SOLUTION OF CONFLICT FOUND, AZERI FOREIGN MINISTER SAID

PanARMENIAN.Net - Nagorno Karabakh will not be recognized as party of negotiations unless political solution of the conflict is found. As reported by "Arminfo" agency, Azeri foreign minister Vilayat Guliyev stated it when commenting on the proposal of OSCE Minsk group Russian co-chair Nikolai Gribkov on including the Karabakh party in the negotiation process. In Guliyev's words, "Even the most uninformed people know that Azeri territories are seized not by the Nagorno Karabakh army, but by subdivisions of the armed forces of Armenia. This is the reason why we will never sit at the negotiation table with Nagorno Karabakh." As noted by Guliyev, the Armenian-Azeri negotiations on the Karabakh settlement will be continued in 2003: by Azeri leader Heydar Aliyev and the winner of the coming presidential elections in Armenia.
