Pebble Time smartwatch adds new dictation featuresOctober 16, 2015 - 13:13 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Pebble Time smartwatches are about to become much better at listening, as a dictation API has just been released to third-party app developers, Digital Spy reports. This basically means that we're about to see a lot more apps with advanced voice-control capabilities hitting the wearable. Unfortunately for Pebblers with an iPhone, the update will only apply to those on Android for the time being. The dev tools are available for Pebble Time and Time Steel, while the circular-faced Pebble Time Round will receive them starting November 8. Pebble has turned to Nuance Communications to provide its dictation technology, the same company behind Siri's language recognition engine. It is yet to be confirmed what kind of voice features are coming to Pebble apps, but the update should make the watch more useful going forward.
