Nexus 5X scans fingers faster than iPhoneOctober 19, 2015 - 23:06 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Many would argue that the iPhone 6S is a more desirable handset than the wallet-friendly Nexus 5X, but it's the latter device that has the faster fingerprint scanner, according to Digital Spy. YouTube channel SuperSaf TV has just pitted the LG handset's fingerprint scanner against the TouchID sensor on the latest iPhone with surprising results. Although the iPhone 6S's TouchID sensor is no slouch, it cannot keep up with the rapid response time of 600ms offered by the Nexus 5X sensor. While the Huawei-made Nexus 6P was not included in the trial, it is also likely to out-scan the iPhone since it includes the same fingerprint unit as its smaller sibling. Those who pre-ordered a Nexus 5X from Google can expect their order to be shipped out this week, but we are still waiting on a release date for the 6P. Both smartphones were announced last month to serve as the flagships for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.
