Catherine Zeta-Jones turns heads in “Dad's Army” trailer

PanARMENIAN.Net - Catherine Zeta-Jones turns heads in a new trailer for the upcoming Dad's Army movie, Digital Spy reports.

Based upon the classic comedy series, the clip sees the Home Guard introduced to glamorous reporter Rose Winters, played by Zeta-Jones.

Rose is in Walmington-on-Sea to write a piece on Mainwaring's troops, making an impression among the villagers with her designer style in an era of strict rationing.

Toby Jones' Captain Mainwaring also delivers a few one-liners as his team, which includes Bill Nighy, Michael Gambon and The Inbetweeners' Blake Harrison, try to discover a Nazi spy within their village.

Jones previously talked to Digital Spy about playing Mainwaring in Dad's Army, saying: "It was fun.

"It was really nerve-wracking. It was one of those jobs where you go, 'No, that's a terrible idea, I don't want anything to do with that, thank you very much'.

He added: "They sent [Hamish McColl's] script - it was really good. I thought it balanced honouring the old by putting them in a new situation.

"When I saw who else was cast in it, I thought, 'That's exactly the right kind of way to go'. It's not comics, it's more actors."

Also starring Mark Gatiss, Sarah Lancashire and Alison Steadman, Dad's Army opens in UK cinemas on February 5, 2016.
