"Sherlock" holiday special gets premiere date, title (video)

PanARMENIAN.Net - Details of "Sherlock" upcoming holiday special are unveiled. Officially titled "Sherlock: The Abominable Bride", the Victorian-set story is scheduled to premiere on January 1, 2016 in both the United Kingdom and the United States. The show also releases a new trailer, AceShowbiz reports.

Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman will return as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson respectively in the acclaimed modern retelling of Arthur Conan Doyle's classic stories. They find themselves in 1890s London. Mary Morstan (Amanda Abbington), Inspector Lestrade (Rupert Graves), and Mrs. Hudson (Una Stubbs) also turn up at 221b Baker Street.

The special is going to be followed by season 4. BBC announces on Twitter, "Series 4 of #Sherlock will start shooting next spring. Steven Moffat and @Markgatiss are busy writing away right now."
