Starz nabs Christopher Walken, Amber Heard drama “One More Time”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Starz has acquired the North American rights to “One More Time”, starring Christopher Walken and Amber Heard, TheWrap reports.

It is planning a 2016 theatrical and on-demand release through Starz Digital, its multi-platform releasing team, followed by an exclusive TV premiere on Starz.

The comedic drama, written and directed by Robert Edwards, also stars Kelli Garner, Hamish Linklater, Ann Magnuson and Oliver Platt.

The film follows rock star Jude (Heard) who is stuck in a rut, recording commercial jingles and having one night stands. When she is evicted from her Brooklyn apartment, she is forced to move to the Hamptons to live with her wealthy and selfish father Paul Lombard (Walken). As the family reunites, Jude is forced to confront her problems and relationships with her father and sister (Garner).

It was produced by Lars Knudsen and Jay Van Joy of Parts & Labor, Ferne Pearlstein, Lucas Joaquin, Saemi Kim, Saerom Kim and Chris Maybach, with executive producers Oliver Simon and Daniel Bauer from K5 International, Lee Tae-hun of Opus Pictures, Eugene Lee of Zip Cinema, Thomas Benski and Lucas Ochoa of Pulse Films and Robert Kaplan.

The deal for the film, which was previously titled “When I Live my Life Over Again,” was negotiated shortly after the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival by CAA.

Starz Digital’s other upcoming releases include Jason Bateman‘s “The Family Fang,” starring Nicole Kidman, Walken and Maryann Plunkett, as well as Sean Mewshaw’s “Tumbledown,” starring Jason Sudeikis and Rebecca Hall. Recent titles include Dito Montiel‘s “Boulevard” with Robin Williams in his final dramatic performance and “Every Secret Thing,” starring Diane Lane, Dakota Fanning and Elizabeth Banks.
