Russia Spread in UN Memorandum of Unrecognized Republics

PanARMENIAN.Net - The FMs of the unrecognized republics called upon the UN members not to support the GUAM initiative on frozen conflicts, says the statement of the Russian permanent representative in the UN Vitaly Churkin addressed to the UN member states. The issue of "Frozen conflicts on the GUAM territory, their influence on international peace, security and development" submitted by GUAM was included into the agenda of the 61st session of the UN General Assembly as an extra item, says the memorandum signed by Abkhazia, Transdnistria and South Ossetia. Raising of the issue in the General Assembly but not in the Security Council proves that this provocative demarche proceeds from the wish to use the UN General Assembly for enlisting support for their predatory aims and grounding the military operations for oppressing the legal aspiration of our peoples to live in peace, the memorandum says. Presenting the story of their formation the unrecognized republics called upon the UN permanent members not to allow GUAM to lead the discussion in the line profitable for it and asked to ensure participation of their representatives in the debates, reports Trend new agency.
