And soon it seems, as the tech giant has announced the dates for the Microsoft Build 2016 conference - the company's annual developer event and product showcase. Build 2016 will be held at the Moscone Centre in San Francisco, California. The great and the good of the developer community will descend on the venue between March 30 and April 1. Almost a month earlier than last year's show, Microsoft is expected to discuss upcoming Windows 10 updates and new hardware. On the suspected device hit-list, is a more affordable sibling to the Surface Pro 4 slate, updates on the HoloLens VR headset and, potentially, the heavily rumoured Microsoft Surface Phone. Registration for next year's Build conference is yet to open, although last year tickets went fast, selling out in less than an hour.
