First trailer for “Star Trek Beyond” lands online (video) December 15, 2015 - 11:16 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Paramount Pictures has released the first official trailer for "Star Trek Beyond". The action-packed trailer opens with Beastie Boys' "Sabotage", which also played in the previous movie before the USS Enterprise is completely decimated, AceShowbiz reports. "We have no ship," Captain Kirk (Chris Pine) says as the video shows the USS Enterprise being attacked. "No crew. How are we going to get out of this one?" The snippet continues with Enterprise crew members including Bones (Karl Urban), Spock(Zachary Quinto), Scotty (Simon Pegg) attempting to save themselves. "Well, at least I won't die alone," Bones tells Spock when they are surrounded by enemy drones. However, Spock is suddenly beamed to safety. "Well, that's just typical," Bones says. The trailer also offers a first look at Sofia Boutella's new alien character. "This is where it begins, Captain," an alien, who may be Idris Elba's new villain, warns Kirk. "This is where the frontier pushes back." "Star Trek Beyond" is directed by "Fast and Furious" helmer Justin Lin. It is the first "Star Trek" movie in the rebooted series not to be directed by J.J. Abrams who is still on board as an executive producer. The "Star Trek Into Darkness" sequel is set to hit U.S. theaters on July 22, 2016.
