Karabakh soldier killed in Azerbaijani subversive attacks

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Azerbaijani troops have initiated several subversive attacks in various directions of the contact line with Nagorno Karabakh on the night of December 18.

Identifying the Azerbaijani groups on time, Karabakh Defense Army units took retaliatory measures, throwing the saboteurs back to their positions.

At least 2 Azeri soldiers were killed and others wounded as a result.

Karabakh Army serviceman Fidar Aloyan, aged 19, was lethally wounded during retaliation.

An investigation into the details of the incident is underway.

Azerbaijani armed forces continuously violated the ceasefire on the contact line with Nagorno Karabakh on December 18-19.

According to the Karabakh Defense Ministry, Azerbaijani armed forces have fired 3500 shots from various caliber artillery weapons, 60-, 82- and 120-mm mortars, AGM-9, AGS-17 and RPG-7 grenade launchers, as well as ZU-23-2 Sergey anti-aircraft twin-barreled autocannon and TR-107 rocket launcher.

Karabakh troops control the situation and retaliate in case of necessity.

Following unsuccessful attempts to cross the contact line with Nagorno Karabakh on December 17, special Azeri troops have once again initiated subversive attacks in four directions of Karabakh positions on December 18.

Karabakh Defense Army units took retaliatory measures, throwing the saboteurs back to their positions. Karabakh army soldiers Aghasi Grigoryan and Ruben Aleksanyan, both aged 19, were killed as a result.

The Karabakh Defense Army vowed to punish the rival’s provocations, with the repercussions to be strongly felt by the latter.
