Google films 360-degree VR tour of White House for CardboardDecember 19, 2015 - 11:32 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Google knows people are searching the Internet for information about U.S. presidential candidates. So Google went over to the White House and filmed a video of the place, VentureBeat reports. It’s more immersive than your average video, though. It’s a 360-degree virtual reality video. If you have an Android phone, you can watch it with a Google Cardboard headset. You can get the 360-degree effect on iOS devices, too. Google wants this sort of content to be useful for education, so it made a Google Expedition for schools participating in its Expeditions Pioneer Program. And if you like this type of VR content, you’re lucky, because Google wants to make more of it. “We’ll continue to release new videos that highlight the potential of Jump,” a spokesman told VentureBeat in an email. “However, we are looking to get the tech in the hands of more creators.” Earlier this month Google showed off a video of the New England Patriots practicing at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
