Quentin Tarantino receives a star on Hollywood Walk of FameDecember 22, 2015 - 12:51 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The love was flowing down Hollywood Boulevard on Monday, December 21 as Quentin Tarantino received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of the TCL Chinese Theatre, The Hollywood Reporter said. “Wow, I guess I must have become a big shot,” he told the crowd, recalling the first few times he had walked the stretch of sidewalk that would bear his star. The earliest date he could recall for certain was when he came to see Diamonds Are Forever. “The line went all the way down the block and at one point, as I stood in that line, I stood right here.” In addition to the hundreds of fans on hand were friends and collaborators through the years, including Zoe Bell, Demian Bichir, Clifton Collins Jr., Walton Goggins, Pam Grier, Jennifer Jason Leigh, James Parks, Tim Roth, Craig Stark, director Edgar Wright and his longtime partner in crime, Samuel L. Jackson. Jackson, who was celebrating his 67th birthday, introduced the director, recalling how they both used to walk the boulevard and marvel at the immortal stars honored there. “Knowing what kind of cinephile he is, the reverence he holds for these names, I was very, very proud the day I got my star and I know what it means to him, cause of what he thinks and how he reveres this business and the art of filmmaking,” Jackson told the crowd. “There aren’t a lot of people in this business who still look at filmmaking the way Quentin does and the purity of what it is and what it should be.” Tarantino’s 9th theatrical release, The Hateful Eight, has already collected a Golden Globe nomination ahead of its Christmas release and Dec. 31 expansion, and the director appeared jubilant as he posed for photos and signed autographs. “I take it seriously that I am a member of this community, I am a member of this town," said the filmmaker. "I’m happy to have my star on the Walk of Fame with all the other people who have done a wonderful job in this town.” Photo: AP Photo/ Matt Sayles Top stories The creative crew of the Public TV had chosen 13-year-old Malena as a participant of this year's contest.
