As Hansel and Gretel were told, never stray from the path in the forest... But they, and Natalie Dormer in her new film The Forest, don't take heed.

The psychological horror thriller has released its latest trailer - featuring Game of Thrones's Dormer as a young American called Sara in search of her missing twin, Digital Spy said.

She sets out and explores the mysterious Aokigahara Forest, a real-life wood near Mount Fuji where people go to commit suicide - but experiences terrors herself as she tries to find her sibling.

The creepy trailer begins by explaining how if something happens to one twin, the other feels it and Sarah is convinced her sister "is in trouble and needs [her]".

After receiving a freaky phone call telling her where her sister is, Sara sets out to find her - with all manner of Blair Witch-style horror, creepiness and fear following her as she explores the jungle.

The Forest - which also stars Taylor Kinney and Eoin Macken - opens on January 8, 2016 in the U.S. and on February 26, 2016 in the UK.
