Greta Gerwig, Jake Gyllenhaal join stars for Arthur Miller centennial

Ayad Akhtar, McKinley Belcher, Ray Fisher, Greta Gerwig, Jake Gyllenhaal, Katori Hall, Peter Sarsgaard and John Turturro have signed on for “One Night 100 Years,” honoring playwright Arthur Miller on January 25, Deadline reports.

The celebration will feature actors reading from Miller’s autobiography Timebends and unpublished works, as well as scenes from Death Of A Salesman, The Price, All My Sons and more. The lineup also includes Alec Baldwin, Ellen Barkin, Laurence Fishburne, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, Tony Kushner and Sam Shepard, who will perform on the set of Miller’s A View From The Bridge at the Lyceum Theatre. Tony Award winner Gregory Mosher is set to direct.

The event will be produced by Cindy Tolan and Damon Cardasis; Sandi Farkas and Rebecca Miller are Board Co-Chairs of the Arthur Miller Foundation, with Mara Manus serving as Founding Director. “I am so grateful and happy to have these wonderful actors and playwrights join the cast for the evening,” Miller said. “I can think of no better way to honor my father’s legacy than to support theater arts for coming generations.”

All proceeds from the evening will go to the Arthur Miller Foundation for Theater and Film Education, which is committed to promoting access and equity to theater and film education in public schools.
