LG G5 leak suggests fingerprint scanner, redesign

LG's G5 smartphone is expected to be announced at the Mobile World Congress next month, and a fresh leak may have given us a better idea of what to expect from the device, Digital Spy said.

Israeli web portal Walla has allegedly obtained a diagram depicting the Android handset's design - and it looks like there are a few changes in store.

Measuring in at 149.4 x 73.9 x 8.2mm, the phone is set to be thinner, taller and wider than the current-gen LG G4.

Furthermore, the volume controls appear to have been shifted from the rear of the device to the side, but the power button remains on the back.

A fingerprint scanner is also said to be present on the underside of the G5.

Previous reports suggest that LG is overhauling the design of its flagship, adding a retractable tray at the bottom for a removable battery.

File all of this under rumour for now, but there's little more than a month to wait before the G5 breaks cover.
